A local and very well-established company in Springdale, AR, is seeking an AP/AR Specialist to join their team! This full-time position offers a schedule of Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM, with a competitive pay range of $15 to $18 per hour, depending on experience (DOE).

As an AP/AR Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing the company’s accounts payable and accounts receivable functions. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in accounting, with specific experience in handling both AP and AR processes. Proficiency in QuickBooks is essential for this role, as it is the primary tool used for managing financial transactions and records.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accounts Payable (AP): Process and manage incoming invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely payment. This includes verifying invoice details, obtaining necessary approvals, and maintaining organized records of all transactions.
  • Accounts Receivable (AR): Manage customer accounts, process incoming payments, and ensure accurate posting to the appropriate accounts. This involves generating and sending out invoices, tracking payment statuses, and following up on overdue accounts.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by handling calls and addressing inquiries related to customer accounts. Assist customers with account discrepancies, payment issues, and general account information.
  • Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing financial reports and statements as needed. This includes reconciling accounts, maintaining accurate records, and supporting the finance team with other accounting tasks.
  • Compliance and Procedures: Ensure all financial transactions comply with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant regulations and standards.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in accounting, specifically in AP and AR roles.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks is required.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with customers and team members.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information.
