We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented AR/AP Specialist for our client in Conway, AR. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who is experienced in both accounts receivable and accounts payable functions and is looking to contribute to the financial success of a growing organization. The AR/AP Specialist will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in processing, and supporting the finance team with reporting and reconciliation activities.
As the AR/AP Specialist, you will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity of financial records, managing vendor and customer accounts, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting background, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and reconcile accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare and issue invoices, monitor customer accounts, and follow up on outstanding balances.
- Review, verify, and process vendor invoices, expense reports, and payments.
- Maintain accurate vendor and customer files while ensuring proper documentation.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and reporting.
- Respond to inquiries from vendors, customers, and internal departments regarding invoices, payments, and account discrepancies.
- Support the accounting team with audits, budgeting, and special projects as needed.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, GAAP, and applicable regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in AR/AP or general accounting roles.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Proven ability to manage deadlines and handle multiple priorities effectively.
