Job Details
Our client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented TIG Welder to join their manufacturing and fabrication team in a fast-paced production environment. The TIG Welder will be responsible for interpreting blueprints, performing precision welding, and fabricating pipe systems according to strict specifications. This TIG Welder role requires strong technical ability, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while maintaining high-quality welding standards.
The TIG Welder will support both fabrication and installation preparation work, including pipe layout, measurement, cutting, and assembly. The ideal candidate will have experience working with stainless steel and carbon steel piping systems and be comfortable performing a variety of welding procedures. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with strong potential for long-term employment based on performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and specifications to determine pipe layouts and system requirements.
- Perform accurate measurements, takeoffs, and layout for piping systems and components.
- Fabricate and prefabricate piping systems to improve installation efficiency and reduce downtime.
- Cut, thread, bend, and prepare pipe using tools such as saws, pipe threaders, benders, and cutting torches.
- Assemble, fit, and secure pipes, tubing, fittings, and related components according to specifications.
- Perform TIG welding and other welding processes as required to meet project specifications.
- Execute certified welding procedures including sanitary stainless steel and carbon steel applications (including 6G positions).
- Inspect, test, and verify installed systems using pressure testing, hydrostatic testing, and visual inspection methods.
- Cut and bore openings in structures such as walls, decks, and bulkheads to support pipe installation.
- Follow isometric drawings and ensure accurate layout of pipe systems and supports.
- Maintain and properly use company equipment including forklifts, scissor lifts, and other heavy machinery assigned to production cells.
- Ensure all welding performed meets internal certification and quality standards for customer products.
- Maintain organization and care of assigned tools and equipment, including both company-issued and personal tool investments.

Required Welding Certifications and Procedures
- Purge weld .065 304SS sanitary procedure
- TIG weld SCH 10 2” 304SS pipe 6G procedure
- TIG weld SCH 80 2” A106 seamless pipe 6G procedure
- Stick weld SCH 40 6’ A106 seamless pipe 6G procedure
Qualifications
- Previous TIG welding experience required in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and isometric layouts.
- Experience with pipe fitting, fabrication, and welding procedures preferred.
- Ability to perform precision measurements and layout work.
- Familiarity with industrial tools including pipe cutters, threaders, torches, and welding equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality welds.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and meet deadlines.
- Must be able to follow safety procedures and quality standards at all times.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to pass required welding certifications and internal testing.
