Facilities & Maintenance Technician
Location: Springdale, AR
Type: Full-Time
Shift: Monday to Friday, 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM (1st Shift)
Hourly Rate: $30 – $35 per hour
Are you a certified electrician with a passion for maintaining and improving facility equipment and property structures? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our client’s team as a Facilities & Maintenance Technician. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the optimal functionality of our facilities through general maintenance and repairs. Your expertise will be key in maintaining a safe, efficient, and well-functioning environment.
Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot basic electrical circuits, including switches, motors, light ballasts, and bulbs.
Address forklift issues and perform necessary repairs.
Complete plumbing tasks, covering air, water, and hydraulics.
Repair pumps, valves, fans, and perform stick and mig welding as required.
Conduct general repairs including drywall, painting, and maintenance of building fixtures and machinery.
Plan and respond to equipment breakdowns, perform scheduled preventative maintenance, diagnose faults, and recommend solutions.
Inspect functional systems, identify malfunctions, and execute repairs.
Ensure compliance with safety practices and promote safety awareness within the facility.
Oversee contractors when professional repairs are needed.
Maintain company equipment and tools in operational condition.
Conduct routine facility safety inspections.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; 3-5 years of industrial maintenance experience or related training.
Valid Arkansas Electrical License.
Certified electrician with expertise in troubleshooting electrical systems.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical procedures and regulations.
Strong communication skills to interact effectively with colleagues, clients, and customers.
Skilled in the use of hand and power tools.
Experience with precision measuring instruments and electronic testing devices.
Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel.
OSHA 10 or 30 certification is a plus.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Positive attitude and professional presentation.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
Willingness to work overtime as required.
