Job Details

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Helpdesk Technician to join their project management team. In this role, the Helpdesk Technician will play a vital part in supporting onsite technicians, ensuring that projects are executed smoothly from start to finish. The position requires excellent communication, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving, coordinating tasks, and providing essential support to both field staff and project managers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Technicians Onsite: Assist technicians through the installation process by handling check-in and check-out calls, verifying completed work, and ensuring all tasks are finished before technicians leave the site.

  • Verify Deliverables: Review technician work to confirm all requirements and deliverables have been met and that quality standards are consistently upheld.

  • Order Equipment & Materials: Manage the ordering process for equipment and materials to ensure timely delivery of necessary project items.

  • Dispatching: Coordinate and dispatch technicians to job sites as needed, ensuring efficient scheduling and use of resources.

  • Administrative Duties: Handle various administrative responsibilities including invoice processing, billing, uploading deliverables into the system, and managing project-related documentation.

  • Cost Tracking: Monitor project expenses and track costs to ensure accurate financial management.

  • Escalate Issues: Identify and escalate any challenges or concerns during the installation process to project managers to maintain project timelines and quality.

Qualifications

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively support technicians over the phone.

  • Previous experience in a helpdesk, dispatch, or administrative role preferred.

  • Ability to work independently, stay organized, and multitask in a fast-paced environment.

  • Familiarity with project management tools or software is a plus.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
