Technician/Machinist

$24-30/HR DOE
An aftermarket repair organization located in Springdale, AR is looking for a Machinist Technician for 2nd shift after a period of training on 1st shift. The training hours are M-F, 6:30 am to 3 pm and permanent 2nd shift hours are M-F, 3 pm to 11:30 pm. PSD is a clean, well-lit, state-of-the-art machining center in a climate-controlled facility. Competitive pay starting at $24 per hour, increased based on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set-up and operate conventional, special purpose, and computerized numeric control (CNC) machines to fabricate and repair metallic and non-metallic parts.
- Read blueprints, drawings, manuals, specifications to determine machine and set-up requirements.
- Set-up and prepare includes: set up of fixtures, tools, attachments, and accessories.
- Operator level maintenance of machine and set up documents.
- Use measuring devices like micrometers, calipers, to ensure specifications are met
- Maintain a clean work environment.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of machining experience/training with strong aptitude in skill-set or equivalent
- Ability to read blueprints, drawings, manuals, and specifications to determine machining and set-up requirements.
- Knowledge of machining including set-up of fixtures, tools, attachments, and accessories.
- Ability to follow written work instructions and engine manual instructions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical trade school degree in machining preferred
- 5+ years of machining experience
- 5 axis horizontal or vertical milling experience
- Experience with VTL, lathes, and T-lathes
