Our client is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Supervisor to lead their maintenance department in Fayetteville, AR. As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will oversee production lines, equipment, building, and grounds. This position involves scheduling manpower to meet production demands, maintaining a preventative maintenance system, and working toward achieving safety and uptime goals. You will also monitor and control maintenance expenses, including overtime and parts costs, while implementing programs that ensure employee safety, environmental security, and operational cost-effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and schedule workforce efficiently to maximize productivity.
- Monitor downtime occurrences and ensure consistent operations.
- Analyze production line efficiencies and address maintenance and mechanical trends.
- Train, motivate, and guide employees to adhere to safe work practices and procedures.
- Foster teamwork to achieve company goals and maintain collaboration with USDA officials.
- Manage labor costs, purchase quality supplies, and control departmental overtime.
- Enforce safety programs, ensuring machinery and equipment are safe for employees.
- Lead predictive and preventative maintenance initiatives such as oil analysis and thermography.
- Evaluate and optimize PM/PdM activities to maximize equipment reliability.
- Provide technical guidance to the maintenance team and support capital projects.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred.
- 3-5 years of maintenance experience and prior supervisory experience required.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and safety documentation.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and mathematical skills.
- Knowledge of preventative maintenance programs and electronic/electrical principles.
- CAD/drafting experience preferred; computer literacy is required.
- Experience in writing evaluations, procedures, and job descriptions.
Physical Requirements:
- Regularly required to stand, walk, talk, and hear.
- Occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
- Work in a noisy environment with varying temperatures.
- Vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus.
