As a Mixing Tech, you will be responsible for various tasks related to mixing ingredients and ensuring proper product consistency. This position requires the ability to lift bags weighing up to 50 lbs, handle messy materials like cocoa, and perform basic cleaning duties. The work environment is maintained at a temperature of 60-70 degrees.
Lift and handle bags weighing up to 50 lbs, averaging approximately 1500 lbs per hour throughout the shift.
Wear masks when necessary, as the environment can be dusty during certain product handling, such as cocoa.
Assist in mixing operations, including pouring bags of cocoa or other ingredients into the mixer. Note that cocoa is considered the messiest product.
Take butter out of boxes and feed it into a mixer that extrudes it like spaghetti, followed by molding it into blocks, depending on the product being processed.
Perform simple cleaning tasks, such as dumping water and soap on the floor and scrubbing as needed.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Adhere to safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
The working temperature in the department typically ranges from 60 to 70 degrees.
