Job Details
1st Employment is looking for a proactive On-Site Account Specialist to join our team. In this role, you’ll manage temporary employees and build strong relationships with our clients. Your responsibilities will include interviewing, hiring, training, and sometimes terminating employees, as well as ensuring accurate documentation of work hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow Policies: Stick to 1st Employment’s policies and lead by example.
- Lead the Team: Manage on-site operations with a positive attitude and professionalism.
- Stay Organized: Attend and document all necessary meetings with temporary employees, team leads, and on-site supervisors.
- Keep Information Current: Ensure all on-site posters and documents are up to date.
- Build Relationships: Develop and maintain positive relationships with on-site contacts, applicants, and the 1st Employment team.
- Act as a Liaison: Be the go-between for temporary employees and customer contacts.
- Manage Scheduling: Design daily tasks, schedule employees based on needs, and maintain the clock system.
- Recruitment: Strategize and track effective recruiting sources to meet on-site needs.
- Creative Recruiting: Design and identify creative recruiting resources, and post jobs on multiple platforms.
- Conduct Interviews: Perform skills-based and behavioral interviews.
- Job Offers: Extend conditional job offers and guide candidates through new hire paperwork.
- Verify Employment: Complete Form I-9 and E-Verify for all new hires.
- Orientation: Conduct new hire and customer-specific orientations.
- Background Checks: Handle reference checks, drug screens, and background checks.
- Selection: Select qualified employees based on job requirements and coordinate interviews if needed.
- Legal Compliance: Avoid legal issues by complying with all employment laws and regulations.
- Communication: Regularly communicate with team leads and on-site supervisors about job orders, customer service, and complaint resolution.
- Daily Management: Provide daily direction and communication to ensure on-site needs are met.
- Coaching: Counsel temporary employees to improve performance and communicate expectations.
- Termination: Terminate employees when necessary, following progressive discipline steps.
- Documentation: Keep activity logs, files, and staffing information systems up to date.
- File Maintenance: Ensure all employee and on-site files are complete and current.
- Reporting: Complete all necessary reports accurately and on time.
- Incident Management: Handle work-related incidents, complete reports, and follow up on worker’s compensation claims.
- Safety: Conduct safety walk-throughs and risk assessments.
- Cost Management: Find cost-efficient ways to reduce expenses and increase profit.
- Process Improvement: Suggest improvements for company processes including recruiting, onboarding, and retention.
