Product Engineer
Location: Fayetteville
Salary: $70,000 per year
Job Summary:
The Product Engineer is responsible for providing documentation and technical support to ensure that assigned products are manufactured according to customer specifications. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining accurate product documentation and supporting various engineering activities.
Essential Functions:

Ensure the accuracy and proper structure of Bill of Materials (BOM), Approved Manufacturers Lists, and other internally generated product documentation.
Respond promptly and professionally to all customer requests, both internal and external.
Coordinate and provide support for documentation, equipment, and tooling activities required for the production of assigned products.
Offer engineering support to different areas of Ayrshire Electronics, assisting in meeting purchasing requirements, quoting requirements, and receiving inspection requirements.
Generate Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) based on customer and/or Ayrshire Electronics’ requirements.
Resolve part discrepancies and handle requests for deviations to meet production and materials schedules.
Develop hardware and/or software as assigned to support new product development, product redesign, and cost reduction engineering activities.
Perform additional activities as defined by the Product Engineering Manager.
Prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Be trained in and enforce the proper handling of Electrostatic Discharge (ESD).
Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Utilize training knowledge to think independently.
Follow ISO instructions for the Engineering Department.
Stand for long periods and move about rapidly as needed.
Handle a flexible workload and adapt to changing priorities.
Ensure the proper quality of work.
Perform other duties as directed by management/supervision.
Maintain a courteous and respectful attitude towards all employees, both within and outside the department.
Maintain a positive attitude and embrace changes quickly.
Supervision Given/Received:
This position reports to the Product Engineering Manager and the VP of Engineering. There are no direct supervisory responsibilities associated with this role.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
Minimum of two years of experience in electronic project engineering or hardware/software design.
Strong project engineering skills.
Ability to effectively prioritize and complete multiple assignments.
Experience in electronic hardware and/or software design is desired but not required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong computer skills.
