Job Details
We are seeking a dedicated Production Packer to join our team in North Little Rock, AR. As a Production Packer, you will play a vital role in the efficient, safe, and sanitary inspection and packaging of products. This position involves rotating to various stations along the product line, each with unique responsibilities. The Production Packer ensures products meet quality standards and are packaged correctly for shipment. This role involves performing inspections, managing product placement, and maintaining cleanliness in work areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect products to ensure they meet quality standards before entering overwrap equipment.
- Perform final count inspections before placing the correct quantity of overwrapped products into bags or boxes.
- Operate automated machinery to secure bags with locks and ensure proper placement of trace/recall lot numbers.
- Assemble master cases, insert the correct number of bags or boxes, and load cases into the taper machine.
- Conduct final inspections of master cases for proper taping and code placement.
- Stack products on pallets according to specified patterns and transport them to assigned shipping areas.
- Load cartons into the carton magazine as required.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in all work areas, removing trash and waste as necessary.
- Rework, inspect, and repackage products as directed by line leaders and supervisors.
- Relieve other packaging employees during breaks as needed.
Qualifications
- Ability to count, follow instructions, and handle products quickly and accurately.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Capability to work in a cold environment due to frozen food manufacturing.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Physical ability to lift, push, and pull up to 20 pounds regularly, with occasional heavier lifting.
- Capacity to stand, twist, reach, and bend frequently.
- Adaptability to a fast-paced environment involving repetitive motions.
