Our client is currently seeking a skilled Property Maintenance Technician to join their team at a local apartment complex in Little Rock, AR. As a Property Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the functionality and aesthetic appeal of the property, ensuring a safe and comfortable living environment for all residents.
Key Responsibilities
As a Property Maintenance Technician, your duties will include:
- Routine and Scheduled Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and scheduled maintenance tasks across multiple properties to ensure everything is in working order.
- Repairs and Installations: Carry out repairs and installations of various fixtures and appliances, as well as replace damaged systems to maintain the property’s functionality.
- System Diagnosis and Repair: Diagnose and repair issues with building systems, including heating, electricity, and water, to prevent or quickly resolve any disruptions to service.
- Subcontractor Management: Identify and coordinate with competitive subcontractors for larger projects that require specialized skills or equipment.
- Emergency Response: Be on-call to respond to emergency maintenance issues, ensuring that any urgent problems are addressed promptly to minimize inconvenience to residents.
Qualifications
To succeed in the Property Maintenance Technician role, you should meet the following qualifications:
- Educational Background: A high school diploma or GED certificate is required. Additional vocational or trade school certification is preferred and will be considered an asset.
- Technical Expertise: You must have comprehensive knowledge of plumbing, heating, HVAC, and electrical systems to effectively diagnose and resolve maintenance issues.
- Transportation: Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license are essential for traveling between properties as needed.
- Physical Stamina: The job requires physical capability, including bending, crouching, and lifting objects throughout the workday.
