We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Lab Manager for our client in Danville, AR. This is a full-time, first-shift position offering a competitive annual salary of $52,000. The Quality Assurance Lab Manager will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the quality control department and ensuring that all company products meet rigorous inspection standards.
As the Quality Assurance Lab Manager, you will be responsible for supervising quality control inspectors, managing the lab schedule based on plant management input, and maintaining a clean and organized lab environment. This role requires a proactive professional who can communicate inspection results to management, ensure that inspection plans are in place for all parts, and maintain necessary inspection supplies. You will also be tasked with filing completed inspections and certifications, creating job packets, and transmitting documentation to customers as needed.
The Quality Assurance Lab Manager will have the authority to perform inspections, approve inspection plans, accept or reject products based on inspection outcomes, and calibrate equipment. This position demands strong leadership, organization, and technical skills, as well as a commitment to supporting continuous improvement in quality processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Schedule and oversee lab inspections based on production needs
- Maintain adequate housekeeping and inspection supplies
- Notify management of inspection statuses and results
- File completed inspections and certifications; compile documentation for customers
- Perform inspections and determine acceptance or rejection of products
- Supervise and guide Quality Control Inspectors
- Approve inspection plans and calibrate equipment
- Foster a culture of safety, quality, and teamwork within the lab
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum 3 years of inspection experience
- At least 1 year in a fastener laboratory environment preferred
- Proficiency with calipers, micrometers, and other measurement systems
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Solid mathematical and reasoning abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Current eye exam on file required
