Job Details

The Quality Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily quality operations on the manufacturing floor. This position leads quality technicians and inspectors, ensures adherence to the Quality Management System (QMS), and works closely with production teams to resolve issues quickly and effectively. The Quality Supervisor will drive root cause analysis efforts, support audits, and reinforce quality procedures to prevent defects and ensure customer satisfaction. This role requires strong leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills, along with hands-on experience in manufacturing quality systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily quality inspection and testing activities within the manufacturing facility
  • Lead, schedule, and train quality inspectors and technicians to ensure consistent performance
  • Ensure compliance with the Quality Management System (QMS), work instructions, and control plans
  • Support production by identifying quality concerns, initiating containment actions, and preventing nonconforming product from shipping
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective action processes for internal defects and customer complaints
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of inspections, nonconformance reports, and corrective actions
  • Coordinate Material Review Board (MRB) activities and determine appropriate product disposition
  • Assist with internal audits, external audits, and customer audits
  • Support new product launches and process changes from a quality standpoint
  • Communicate quality standards and expectations clearly to production and cross-functional teams
  • Promote safety, housekeeping, and overall quality discipline throughout the facility

Qualifications

  • Minimum of three (3+) years of experience in manufacturing, quality, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of inspection methods, quality tools, and manufacturing processes
  • Experience conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective action methodologies
  • Familiarity with manufacturing quality systems and documentation requirements
  • Experience working in high-volume or regulated manufacturing environments preferred
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and maintain a proactive approach to quality improvement.
