Job Details
We are currently hiring a Sewing Machine Operator for our client in Conway, AR. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity ideal for candidates with experience operating industrial sewing machines. The Sewing Machine Operator will play a vital role in warehouse operations, helping to ensure production goals are met while maintaining a clean and safe work environment. The operator will be responsible for stitching a variety of materials using machines such as tackers, flatbeds, single-needle, and double-needle machines.
The Sewing Machine Operator will be evaluated based on performance metrics, including efficiency and quality. Consistency and attention to detail are critical, as customer satisfaction and order accuracy are key to company growth. Successful candidates will demonstrate reliability, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work in a production setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate industrial sewing machines efficiently and accurately
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Conduct preventative maintenance on sewing machines and related equipment
- Troubleshoot basic machine issues such as thread tension or needle changes
- Read and follow work orders and production instructions carefully
- Communicate effectively and professionally with co-workers
- Report discrepancies or issues to supervisors promptly
Qualifications
- Experience operating industrial sewing machines required
- Strong hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Ability to stand, bend, or sit for long periods of time
- Able to lift heavy objects as required
- Comfortable working in a hot factory environment
- Familiarity with LBI factory practices is a plus
- Good math and organizational skills
- Attention to detail with neat and legible handwriting
- History of long-term employment is strongly preferred
- Time management skills and the ability to avoid distractions
- Willingness to follow all safety rules and workplace procedures
