Our client in Little Rock, AR, is seeking a Warehouse / Door Assembler to join their team. This role is responsible for the sub-assembly of door components and the assembly of fabricated doors in a just-in-time fabrication shop. The position may require assisting other operators on key work or machines as needed. Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily tests to ensure correct temperatures and calibration of door assembly operations.
- Review paperwork to determine if work products require UL or Intertek certification marks.
- Select and prepare core and fabricated components for door assembly as specified in shop cut sheets.
- Plan operational sequences following established procedures.
- Align and glue core components, completing the vacuum air removal process per company policies.
- Assemble and weld components, ensuring precise alignment using appropriate tools.
- Verify hinge boring, end channel placement, and certifications for quality assurance.
- Repair improperly welded pieces and inspect work products for defects.
- Log production and scrap data daily and ensure proper waste management.
- Perform routine maintenance of equipment and tools, and report deficiencies.
- Maintain clean and orderly workstations while collaborating with team members for efficient workflow.
- Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
- Comply with industry and company policies, with special attention to safety.
- Ensure production variances are within 1/32” of specifications unless stated otherwise.
- Inspect and certify work products, ensuring accurate measurements and compliance with UL and Intertek standards.
Qualifications
- Manufacturing and fabrication experience required.
- Proficiency in dimensional measuring and use of precision tools.
- Ability to read and interpret shop cut sheets and drawings.
- Strong safety-conscious behavior and attention to detail.
- Excellent punctuality and attendance.
- Lift, carry, push, or pull 1-75 lbs frequently.
- Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, and reaching.
- Ability to stand, walk, and work in a 40°-100°F industrial environment for 10 hours.
- Comfortable wearing protective gear such as hearing and vision protection and steel-toed shoes.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Vo-Tech training or at least 3 years of fabrication experience with multiple metals.
- Certified forklift operator certification is a plus.
