We are hiring an experienced and detail-focused Inventory Control Specialist for our client in Conway, AR. This position plays a critical role in maintaining accurate inventory levels across production, receiving, and shipping operations. As an Inventory Control Specialist, you will help ensure that material availability aligns with production demands and company expectations for accuracy and efficiency.
The Inventory Control Specialist will be responsible for executing cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and maintaining precise records using inventory management systems. The role requires a high level of attention to detail, strong problem-solving abilities, and the capability to collaborate with cross-functional teams such as production, purchasing, and warehouse departments. Success in this role will directly impact production flow, cost control, and operational planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts of materials and finished goods.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies between physical inventory and digital records.
  • Track inventory movement and usage throughout the facility, including production lines, receiving docks, and shipping areas.
  • Determine the root causes of inventory issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Use inventory control software and systems to maintain accurate inventory data.
  • Work closely with internal departments to support accurate inventory allocation and forecasting.
  • Identify and report obsolete, excess, or slow-moving inventory to appropriate team members.
  • Comply with all company safety regulations, quality standards, and inventory procedures.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; associate degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • 1–3 years of hands-on experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or materials management in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency with inventory tracking systems and basic computer applications.
  • Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced, physically active environment.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
