Job Details
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Sewing Machine Operator to support our client’s garment production and alteration needs in Benton, AR. The Sewing Machine Operator will be responsible for performing a variety of sewing and alteration tasks to ensure garments meet quality, fit, and durability standards. This role requires precision, consistency, and the ability to work efficiently in a production-focused environment. Candidates should be comfortable working either part-time or full-time on a Monday through Friday day shift schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate industrial and/or domestic sewing machines to complete garment alterations and repairs
- Perform hemming, patch application, and garment adjustments based on specifications
- Take in or let out garments to ensure proper sizing and fit
- Follow detailed instructions, measurements, and alteration guidelines accurately
- Inspect finished products for quality, consistency, and durability
- Maintain sewing equipment and report any mechanical issues as needed
- Keep workstations clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
- Meet daily production goals while maintaining high-quality workmanship
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Sewing Machine Operator or in garment alterations preferred
- Ability to read and interpret measurements and work instructions
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in stitching and finishing
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Ability to sit for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
- Dependable, punctual, and committed to maintaining quality standards
