Our client is seeking a dependable and motivated Part-Time Industrial Janitor to support cleanliness and organization throughout both office and industrial shop environments. The Industrial Janitor will play an important role in maintaining a safe, clean, and professional facility while ensuring all assigned cleaning tasks are completed efficiently and thoroughly. This position is ideal for individuals who take pride in their work, can work independently, and are comfortable in a physically active industrial setting.

The Industrial Janitor position is scheduled for Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, with occasional Saturdays required based on business needs. This is a part-time opportunity only and does not include benefits or paid time off. The Industrial Janitor must be comfortable working in both climate-controlled office areas and non-climate-controlled shop environments. Candidates should have previous industrial or commercial janitorial experience and be familiar with operating floor cleaning equipment such as scrubbers and buffers.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning and sanitation duties throughout office and industrial shop areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize workspaces, restrooms, breakrooms, and common areas.
• Operate floor cleaning equipment including scrubbers, buffers, and related janitorial machinery.
• Clean stairways, elevated areas, and hard-to-reach spaces using appropriate safety procedures and equipment such as scissor lifts.
• Remove trash and recycling materials and assist with general waste management procedures.
• Maintain janitorial supplies and notify supervisors when inventory needs replenishing.
• Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Work independently while following direction from the Janitorial Supervisor.
• Support additional facility cleaning projects and duties as assigned.
• Consistently report to work on time and prepared to complete assigned responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Previous industrial or commercial janitorial experience required.
• Experience operating floor scrubbers, buffers, or similar cleaning equipment preferred.
• Ability to work in office and non-climate-controlled industrial environments.
• Comfortable cleaning stairs, elevated surfaces, and working at heights using equipment such as a scissor lift.
• Experience with recycling and waste management practices preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean facility.
• Ability to work independently and stay productive with minimal supervision.
• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic required.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including standing, lifting, bending, climbing, and repetitive movement throughout the shift.
• Must be comfortable with a part-time schedule and occasional Saturday work as needed.
