Our client is seeking a dependable Plastic Extrusion Technician to join their manufacturing team in Little Rock, AR. As a staffing agency, we are hiring on behalf of a leading manufacturer of high-quality industrial piping systems and related products used in the construction, infrastructure, and industrial markets. The Plastic Extrusion Technician is responsible for operating and monitoring plastic extrusion equipment to ensure products meet quality standards while maintaining safe and efficient production. The ideal candidate has previous experience with extrusion machinery, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues as they arise. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor plastic extrusion machinery to produce high-quality piping and related products.
  • Set up, adjust, and oversee extrusion equipment during production runs.
  • Perform routine inspections and basic preventative maintenance on machinery.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and process issues to minimize downtime.
  • Conduct quality checks to ensure products meet company specifications.
  • Accurately document production data and quality results.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Follow all company safety policies, quality standards, and operating procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with production and maintenance teams to improve efficiency.

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of experience in plastic extrusion or a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of extrusion processes, equipment operation, and quality control.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions and safety procedures.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Relevant manufacturing or plastic extrusion certifications are a plus.
