As a staffing agency, we are seeking dependable and detail-oriented candidates to fill a Plastic Molding Technician position for our client. This is a great opportunity for individuals with manufacturing experience who enjoy working in a fast-paced production environment and take pride in producing quality products.
The Plastic Molding Technician is responsible for operating and monitoring plastic molding equipment to manufacture components that meet quality and production standards. The Plastic Molding Technician will help ensure efficient production by performing equipment setup, monitoring machine performance, inspecting finished products, and maintaining a safe and organized work area. Candidates should have a strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to workplace safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate plastic molding machines according to established production procedures.
- Set up molds and adjust machine temperatures, pressures, and cycle settings as required.
- Monitor equipment during production and make minor adjustments to maintain product quality.
- Inspect molded parts to ensure they meet quality specifications and report any defects.
- Remove finished products, trim excess material when necessary, and prepare parts for the next production stage.
- Assist with material handling, loading raw materials, and monitoring inventory levels.
- Perform basic machine cleaning and routine maintenance tasks.
- Keep accurate production and quality records.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and quality standards.
- Work closely with supervisors and team members to meet daily production goals.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in plastic molding, machine operation, or a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions and production procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
