$17.50+/hour (Depending on experience)

Job Details

Our client is seeking experienced Material Specialists to join their growing manufacturing team in Morrilton, AR. This is an excellent opportunity for dependable, detail-oriented individuals who have experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, or manufacturing. The Material Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring production teams receive the materials they need while maintaining accurate inventory and supporting efficient plant operations.
This is a hands-on position that requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The Material Specialist will work closely with production, warehouse, and purchasing teams to keep materials flowing efficiently throughout the facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pull, stage, and deliver materials to production areas based on production schedules and priorities.
  • Transport raw materials, components, and finished goods using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
  • Ensure all materials are properly labeled, stored, and organized.
  • Support kitting operations and replenish production lines as needed.
  • Keep production areas supplied with the materials necessary to minimize downtime.
  • Respond quickly to material shortages and communicate delays or concerns to leadership.
  • Assist with managing work-in-process (WIP) inventory.
  • Perform cycle counts and assist with physical inventory activities.
  • Investigate and help resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Complete inventory transactions accurately within the ERP system.
  • Assist with receiving incoming shipments by verifying quantities and inspecting materials for damage.
  • Store incoming materials in designated warehouse locations.
  • Support material tagging, labeling, and inventory tracking.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas while following all company safety procedures.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • One to three years of experience in a warehouse, materials, logistics, or manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification.
  • Experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment safely.
  • Basic computer skills with experience using ERP systems or barcode scanning systems preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work well as part of a team.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move materials throughout the shift.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Preferred Skills
  • Inventory control and cycle counting experience.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems such as Epicor.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to supporting production.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement.
