Job Details
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and hands-on Product Coordinator Intern to support project management, inventory coordination, product organization, shipping, event support, and display assembly activities. This is a diverse role that combines administrative responsibilities with hands-on product and warehouse support.
The Product Coordinator Intern will work closely with the Senior Project Manager and other team members to help manage projects, maintain accurate inventory records, coordinate product storage and shipments, and assist with display and structure-related projects. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, comfortable working with both computer systems and physical products, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management Support
- Assist the Senior Project Manager with day-to-day project management functions.
- Help manage tasks through WebCenter.
- Assist with Structure and Graphic approvals.
- Edit assemblies and retail instruction sheets.
- Update product costs in the SC Tab.
- Develop planograms to guide structural setups as needed.
Inventory Management
- Track and maintain inventory for inbound products.
- Update and maintain the Internal Inventory Management System to ensure information is accurate and accessible to the team.
- Verify received shipments by counting items and checking shipment accuracy.
- Photograph product condition when necessary.
- Identify and help resolve discrepancies, including incorrect sizes, missing components, or damaged products.
- Organize and maintain product storage areas, including PODs, closets, and supply chain rooms.
Storage Coordination
- Transport products to and from storage locations.
- Retrieve specific products and samples as requested by team members.
- Prepare and pack products for storage.
- Determine whether products should be retained, donated, discarded, or returned.
- Create, print, and apply labels to inventory boxes.
- Assemble and break down storage boxes and temporary structures as needed.
Shipping and Delivery
- Prepare outgoing packages for shipment.
- Drop off packages at PostNet or other shipping locations as required.
- Deliver samples and packages to client locations when needed.
- Prepare pallets for shipment by shrouding, wrapping, strapping, and securely labeling them.
- Record dimensions and weights for individual boxes and full pallets.
Event Support
- Assist with planning and executing internal events.
- Help decorate and set up office event spaces.
- Clean and organize event areas before and after events.
- Create event graphics and signage.
- Brainstorm and coordinate games, activities, and other event elements.
Display Assembly and Product Fitting
- Assemble displays, trays, and structures as directed.
- Pack displays with products and conduct fit testing.
- Measure product dimensions to ensure proper placement and fit.
- Locate and transport products to assigned displays or structures.
- Clear, organize, and reorganize back-room and showroom areas.
- Assist with moving pallets, displays, products, and other materials as needed.
