Conagra Brands Food Production Checklist Conagra Brands Food Production Name * Name First First Last Last Date * Shifts: Normal operations are Monday through Friday. If production is not met, operations will run on Saturdays. Start/End Times: Start times and end times will vary daily, depending on production 8-12 hour shifts (employees will be required to work until released by supervisor) Hours Worked Weekly: 40 hour work weeks and getting hired permanently are not guaranteed. The amount of hours an employee works depends on the following: production, calling in daily and supervisor requests. Employees that are requested back by supervisors will be assigned first. It is your responsibility to call 1st Employment everyday to be assigned to Conagra Brands. * 1. Call In Times Call in Times: Conagra’s production start times change daily for both 1st and 2nd To be scheduled for either 1st or 2nd shift you must call in daily (M-F). Please Note, call in time is competitive. Do not leave a voice mail for calling in to be scheduled. You will continue to call until you reach a 1st employment representative. The call in times are as follows: a. 1st Shift: 6:30am-10:30am the day before. Employees who are requested and do not call before 2:00pm, will be replaced. * b. 2nd shift: 6:30am-10:30am the day of. Employees who are requested and do not call before 10:00am, will be replaced. If you are confirmed to report for a Line/Area at 6:30am, that is when you are scheduled to begin work. You need to be dressed out, in your area, and ready to work at the time confirmed. Do not clock in more than 30 mins prior to your start time. If you have accepted a position as an Extra (or on call employee) at Conagra, you MUST arrive at the designated time and area indicated by a 1st Employment Representative. If you are not needed for work and are immediately sent home, you will still receive 1 hour of pay just for reporting in. * 2. Arrival/Departure: When arriving at Conagra, employees are required to report to the guard shack. You must bring a photo ID for the guard to verify EACH time you are reporting in. Employees will not be allowed to enter the facility without showing ID. At the guard shack, you will clock in and receive a badge to enter the turnstiles which are located next to the outdoor break area and employee entrance. You will also be issued a bump cap to be worn anytime you are in the production area. During your shift, you may use your badge to go into the parking lot on your 3 designated breaks. At the end of your shift, you MUST clock out and return your badge and bump cap to the guard. FAILURE TO RETURN YOUR BADGE OR BUMP CAP AT THE END OF YOUR SHIFT OR RETURNING A DAMAGED BADGE OR BUMP CAP, WILL RESULT IN AN IMMEDIATE $10 CHARGE FOR EACH ITEM. ***If you return a badge or bump cap the following day, you will still be charged as there are only enough for each shift and badges will have to be replaced immediately if one is missing * 3. Parking: 1st Employment will provide you with a facility map demonstrating where you are allowed to park. You may park in any of the open spaces in the lot with the exception of spaces marked handicap or 30 minute parking. Conagras parking lot is monitored and vehicles in violation WILL BE TOWED. If you have any questions prior to your shift, please call a 1st Employment representative for directions. * 4. Time Clock: The 1st Employment timeclock is located in the hallway that leads to the breakroom and production area. It is located right past the glass entrance doors on the right side. You MUST clock in using the last 4 digits of your Social Security Number before reporting into the facility for work. If you fail to follow the Guard shack policy, we cannot guarantee that all hours worked will be on your next check. Clocking in and clocking out, is YOUR responsibility. If you have any issues or questions, please feel free to contact the On-Site Manager and they will work to verify your time. Clocking in but failing to work your shift is considered falsifying time and is a criminal offense that is punishable by law and will result in immediate termination from your assignment and 1st Employment. * 5. Badges: Badges are not to be shared with any other employees or visitors. Anyone caught sharing badges or allowing another employee or a visitor access to the facility with their badge, will be terminated from Conagra and 1st Employment immediately. Also, badges can and will be used to track when you enter and leave the facility if there is ever a question that you have clocked in but not reported to your designated line. * 6. Drug & Alcohol Policy: 1st Employment is committed to providing a safe and productive drug-free workplace. A failed drug screen may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment. Any employee who refuses to submit to a federally-mandated drug test will be deemed to have failed the test and will be subject to disciplinary actions up to and including termination of employment. It is also the policy of 1st Employment to strictly prohibit employees and others working on company premises from reporting to work or working under the influence of unauthorized or illegal drugs and/or alcoholic beverages. Any employee found to use, sell, possess, or distribute any illegal or unauthorized drugs (including excessive quantities of prescription or over the counter drugs) while on 1st Employment or 1st Employment customer property, performing 1st Employment-related duties, or operating 1st Employment or 1st Employment customer equipment will be subject to discipline, up to and including termination of employment. 1st Employment strictly prohibits employees from possessing, using, and/or being under the influence of medical marijuana at work. Employees violating this policy will be subject to discipline, up to and including termination of employment. * 7. Attendance: A very high attendance standard is set for all employees assigned to Conagra. Employees who MUST miss work need to contact the 1st Employment office no later than 1 hour prior to the beginning of shift. Absences and/or TARDINESS will not be tolerated. If at any time this becomes an issue, your assignment will be terminated immediately. * o Job Abandonment Policy: Abandoning or not completing a shift WILL cause your pay to be dropped down to minimum wage for all hours worked during the week of abandonment. * o Tardiness: You must contact 1st Employment if you are running late for your shift. If you are more than 30 minutes late, the guard will not let you in without approval from 1st Employment and you will be sent home. If you are assigned to report in at 6:30am, this means you need to be clocked in and on your line/in your designated area at 6:30am.¬¬ * o No Call No Shows: Failing to contact 1st Employment at least 1 hour prior to the beginning of your shift will be considered as a no call, no show. This will result in immediate termination from 1st Employment. * 8. Dress Code: Report to work in a clean and neat way and wearing slip resistant shoes. Shoes must have a closed heel and toe, with no holes or tears. Shorts, tank tops, midriff, see through shirts, cut off sleeved shirts, baggy pants, Capri pants or pants with holes will NOT be acceptable. Spandex pants, overalls, or observable lack of under garments or exposed undergarments are PROHIBITED. Sleeves must be short enough to be fully covered by smock. Sexual, violent or obscene designs or messages of any kind will NOT be acceptable. Fingernail polish and artificial fingernails are NOT acceptable. * 9. Jewelry/Hair Accessories: Jewelry (including rings with stones, earrings and facial piercings) is strictly PROHIBITED. Hair should be pulled back away from shoulders/face upon arrival to your shift. Bobby pins, plastic hair clips, rubber bands, two piece barrettes, and barrettes with beads or jewels are NOT permitted. Rubber bands with metal clasps are acceptable. * 10. GMP Training: GMP’s, also known as Good Manufacturing Practices, are practices that were created to keep the Product safe and the employee safe from hazards that may arise while working. Attention to personal and team safety is an absolute requirement. Employees will be trained in the safe and proper techniques for completing tasks. Any deviation from the trained process which causes a safety issue will NOT be tolerated. You must complete orientation, watch Conagra GMP PowerPoint video as well as a safety video at 1st Employment, and successfully complete the safety quiz and GMP quiz prior to your first day of assignment. * o Anyone in violation of Conagra GMPs is subject to receiving a NR (non-returnable) from Conagra. Depending on the severity of the NR received, employees are subject to reprimand up to and including termination from 1st Employment. * 11. Breaks: You are expected to take a 30 minute unpaid lunch break during your shift as well as two 15 minute paid breaks. Your supervisor will inform you when it is time for your break. There is a break room where you can consume your meal or snacks. No food will be allowed in the production area, this includes gum, candy, and cough drops. * 12. Smoking Policy: If you choose to smoke on a break, you will need to use your badge to go out into the parking lot and MUST smoke in a vehicle. No cigarette butts are to be discarded in the parking lot * 13. Lifting: One of the leading causes of back injury in the workplace is an improper lifting technique. Many factors can contribute to back injury including poor posture and poor physical condition; however, using proper lifting techniques can help you avoid these very painful injuries. You will be asked to lift up to 40lbs regularly throughout the shift. * o Size up the load before trying to lift it. If the load is too heavy, or of an awkward shape, get help from a co-worker or use a mechanical lifting device * o Bend your knees. This is the most important rule to remember when lifting moderate to heavy objects. Center yourself over the load, get a good hand hold, and lift straight up with your back straight. Allow your legs, not your back, to do the work * o Carry the load close to your body. Do not stretch your arms and/or back to reach an object. Keep the load close and centered to your body. The farther away from your body you hold the load, the more pressure is exerted on your lower back. * o Do not twist or turn your body once you have made the lift. Keep the load close to your body and keep it steady. Any sudden twisting or turning could result in injury. * o Make sure you can carry the load where you need to go before attempting to move it. Make sure your path is free of obstacles and there are no hazards such as spills in your path * o Set the load down properly. Lower your body slowly, letting your legs do most of the work * o Always push, not pull an object. Pushing puts less strain on the back. * 14. Soreness versus Sprains/Strains: It is very common to experience muscle soreness and/or stiffness when muscles are exposed to new or repetitive movements. The presence of muscle soreness and/or stiffness does not mean you have injured yourself, it is simply a side effect of physical activity your body isn’t used to. With muscle soreness, you typically won't feel it until the following day or even 1-2 days later. With a strained muscle, the pain is usually immediate, sharp/intense, and localized to where the injury occurred. Stretching before and after your shift, staying hydrated and using heat or ice on sore muscles following your shift can help. If you are in considerable pain, please report this to 1st Employment immediately. * 15. Personal Protective Equipment: Safety glasses will be provided by 1st Employment and are given to you upon completion of orientation. (Replacement glasses are $5.00 per pair) WHITE hairnets, beard nets, earplugs, gloves, and smocks will be provided by Conagra and are located in the main Smock Room which is down the hallway from the breakroom. You must wear all PPE as required. Do not remove the cord from the ear plugs. Smocks are ONLY to be worn in the production area. Gloves must be worn anytime you are handling product. If using reusable gloves, you must wash with soap and water each time you return from breaks or when you touch an unclean surface. You will be responsible for wearing slip resistant shoes for any assignment at Conagra. Any other PPE required for a specific job will be provided by Conagra and needs to be returned at the end of the assignment. * o Confirmation that employee owns or is arranging to purchase slip resistant shoes * 16. Forklift/Powered Industrial Truck Safety: Do not operate any powered industrial truck OR electric pallet jack unless you have been properly trained and authorized by Conagra. Pedestrians should always be alert for lift traffic. Watch and listen at all times. Do not walk under a lift. Maintain a safe distance from any raised lift. Before crossing the path of a lift, make sure the driver sees and acknowledges you before you proceed. * 17. Horseplay: Any unsafe act which may distract or endanger you or other employees will not be tolerated regardless of whether or not someone is injured. * 18. Injury Reporting Procedures: It is very important that 1st Employment be advised immediately of all information about a work related injury. 1st Employment’s policy requires that you notify both your On-Site Supervisor and your 1st Employment Representative of your injury. If circumstances don’t allow an immediate notification, you must report the incident to 1st Employment by the end of your shift. 1st Employment has a 24-hour a day, seven-day a week mobile app, emergency cell phone 479-263-7159 and email service, workcomp@1stemployment.net, to take your report. It’s your responsibility as our employee to report your injury to 1st Employment prior to receiving any medical treatment otherwise WC insurance will not cover. The customer is NOT responsible for reporting your incident/accident nor authorized to approve treatment. Any person who knowingly presents a false or fraudulent claim for the payment of a loss is guilty of a Class D felony, and may be subject to maximum imprisonment in the state prison for up to six (6) years, or by a fine of up to $10,000, or by both. In such cases, the Insurance Commissioner will refer the matter to the local prosecuting attorney. * 19. Language: Only use work appropriate language. Obscenities or offensive language will not be tolerated. * 20. Housekeeping: Properly dispose of all trash and debris. Should you see any on the floor, please pick it up to reduce trip hazards. Keep all aisles, walkways and exits clear of obstacles. Clean up spilled materials on the floor immediately. Please properly dispose of personal hygiene products. Outside and in the break room, please dispose of all trash in the proper receptacles * 21. Job Changes: In order to ensure your safety, it is very important that 1st Employment be advised immediately of any changes to your job title, department and/or primary job duties and tasks. In addition, you should never perform a job that you have not been properly trained and authorized to perform * 22. Cell phones: No cell phones will be allowed while working on the production line. Receiving or making calls while on the floor is not permitted. Cell phones, however, are allowed in both the breakroom and outdoor area * 23. Weapons: Weapons of any kind including guns, explosives or knives are prohibited on company property * 24. Checks: Employee’s have the option to setup direct deposit to your checking or savings account or direct deposit to a Wisely Pay card which is available at the 1st Employment office. If neither option is selected, checks will be mailed out from the corporate office on Friday afternoons for all hours worked the previous week. Once checks have been mailed out, we have no control over when they will arrive at your address so we highly suggest setting up direct deposit. * How to Wash:• Rinse hands under clean running water.• Apply an amount of cleaning compound as recommended by the manufacturer.• Rub hands together vigorously for 20 seconds while ensuring that soil is removed from under the fingernails and from the surfaces of the hands and arms, including prosthetic devices.• Thoroughly rinse hands under clean, running water.• Immediately follow with a thorough drying using single-use disposable towels or a continuous towel system that supplies a new towel at each use or a heated air, hand drying device or a pressurized air blast. Hand-washing Conagra has sanitation areas for hand-washing that is convenient to food handling areas.Employees must thoroughly wash their hands prior to entering the production area. Hands must also be washed after handling boxes, touching nose and face and after using toilet facilities. * I acknowledge that the conditions listed above are absolute and non-negotiable and that any employee in violation of these practices is subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination.
