GATES PRE-ASSIGNMENT INFORMATION

Pay progression for production assignments:

Starting Pay:

Production: $15.00

Janitorial/Sanitation: $14.00

Increases in pay will be provided for employees who meet and/or exceed the standards established for the assignment and are recommended for the raise by Gates.

The following conditions are absolute and are non-negotiable.

Employees must remain within the Gates facility for their entire shift. Production employees are NOT allowed to return to their cars during their shift. Production employees may not leave the facility during a shift for any reason. If you leave you may not return that day.

Attendance is absolutely mandatory. A very high attendance standard is set at 98.5 % for all employees assigned to Gates Corporation. Absences and tardiness are not tolerated. Failing to maintain a 98.5% attendance standard may include documentation up to and including termination.

Employees are provided 40 minutes of break time during an eight (8) hour shift. Generally, employees use 20 minutes for a meal break, 10 minutes for an early break and 10 minutes for a late break. Employees working a twelve (12) hour shift are provided 60 minutes of break time.

Attention to personal and team safety is an absolute requirement. Employees will be trained in the safe and proper techniques for completing tasks. Any deviation from the trained process which causes a safety issue will NOT be tolerated.

Safety glasses must be worn at all times within the production facility.

Steel toed shoes must be worn at all times within the production facility. Any employee found in violation of this policy will be disciplined up to and including termination.

Hearing protection will be provided for areas requiring this protection.

Employees are required to watch a safety video.

Employees are required to read the provided safety materials

Horseplay of any type will NOT be tolerated.

The Siloam Springs Gates Corporation facility and property is tobacco free. No form of tobacco product or facsimile usage will be tolerated within the facility or anywhere on the property including the parking lot.

All candidates must pass a national background check and drug test

All 1st Employment employees assigned to Gates will be required to learn at least three different jobs.

Some jobs are located in an environment in which temperatures are very warm.

Lifting requirements vary from 25 pounds up to 65 pounds on a regular basis an essential physical requirement.

Bending at the waist on a regular basis is an essential physical requirement.

Use of wrists on a regular basis is an essential physical requirement.

Constant standing is an essential physical requirement.

Assigned shifts will likely be the evening shift 2:00 pm – 10:00pm and the night shift which is 10:00pm – 6:00 am

Employees also may be assigned to a twelve (12) hour shift. The twelve hour shifts are either 6:00 am to 6:00 pm or 6:00 pm to 6:00 am.

Regular weekend work is required.

Employees will purchase upon hire a safety vest $5.00 to be worn during all training as a deduction and is their responsibility.

Any replacement of vest or scan cards will be deducted at $5.00 each.

It is VERY DOUBTFUL that a 1^st Employment employee will be assigned to a day shift. 1^st Employment employees should not request day shift.
