Job Details

Are you an experienced Bookkeeper looking for a rewarding opportunity in Bethel Heights, AR? Our client is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join their team. This role offers competitive pay ranging from $18 to $25 per hour, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain Accurate Records: Establish accounts and post transactions to ensure accurate financial records.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on necessary actions.
  • Accounts Management: Monitor and manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and receipts.
  • Payroll Duties: Process payroll, maintain payroll records, and ensure compliance with payroll regulations.
  • Financial Entries and Reconciliations: Record daily financial entries and perform reconciliations to ensure all financial data is up-to-date.
  • Monthly Financial Reports: Prepare monthly financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • General Ledger Entries: Perform general ledger entries and record payments and adjustments to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Tax Preparation: Assist with tax preparation and ensure timely filing of tax returns.
  • Audit Support: Provide support during financial audits and implement necessary changes based on audit findings.
  • Collaboration: Work with other departments to ensure financial data accurately reflects all business activities.


  • Experience: Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role.
  • Knowledge: Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Attention to Detail: High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Communication: Strong communication skills and ability to work well with others.
  • Integrity: Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.

Education and Experience:

  • Education: Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Bookkeeper) are a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of bookkeeping experience required.
