We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and safety-conscious Brake Press Operator to join our client’s team in Kopco, AR. This is a great opportunity for individuals with experience in metal fabrication and press operations who thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The Brake Press Operator will be responsible for setting up and operating brake press and laser equipment to shape metal parts according to blueprint and sketch specifications. This role plays a vital part in the production process and supports the overall goals of quality, precision, and safety.
As a Brake Press Operator, you will prepare and position materials, make machine adjustments, and monitor parts for accuracy using various measuring tools. You will be expected to maintain compliance with safety protocols, quality control standards, and housekeeping procedures. Ideal candidates for the Brake Press Operator position will have prior experience with brake press or machining equipment, familiarity with blueprints, and a strong attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate brake press and laser machines to form metal components.
- Read and interpret blueprints or sketches for part specifications.
- Align and position dies, adjust settings based on metal thickness, and perform accurate bends and forms.
- Verify measurements using tapes, templates, and other inspection tools.
- Maintain detailed inspection logs and flag any non-conforming parts.
- Promote safety, cleanliness, and organization in the work area.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- One year of brake press or machining experience preferred.
- Familiarity with CNC or laser equipment is a plus.
- Ability to lift 30–40 lbs. regularly and stand for long periods.
- Strong understanding of fabrication tools and safety gear usage.
- Ability to perform basic math functions and read instructions.
