Job Details
Our client is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Cable & Harness Assembler to join their manufacturing team in Lincoln, AR. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity offering long-term employment potential for individuals who enjoy hands-on assembly work in a production environment. The Cable & Harness Assembler is responsible for assembling cables, wire harnesses, and related components while maintaining high quality and production standards.
The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, enjoys working with their hands, and is committed to producing quality products in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble cables, wire harnesses, control boxes, and other electrical components according to specifications.
- Perform wire stripping, crimping, soldering, heat shrinking, and cable testing using hand tools and production equipment.
- Operate machinery and equipment safely and efficiently during the assembly process.
- Read and follow work instructions using the Internal Document Control Server.
- Verify production kits and ensure all required materials are available before beginning assembly.
- Conduct cable testing using hand meters and automated testing equipment.
- Assist with first article creation and product verification.
- Complete parts requisitions as needed.
- Follow IPC-620 quality standards and company procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous assembly or manufacturing experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to use hand tools and production equipment.
- Experience with soldering, crimping, wire stripping, and cable assembly is a plus.
- Familiarity with IPC-620 standards is preferred.
- Ability to read and follow detailed work instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Frequent use of hands for repetitive assembly tasks.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds as needed.
- Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining quality standards.
