Job Details

Our client is seeking a dependable Cemetery Yard Maintenance Technician to assist with the upkeep and appearance of cemetery grounds in Rogers, AR. This is a short-term, couple-month project focused on maintaining a clean, respectful, and well-kept environment for visitors. The Cemetery Yard Maintenance Technician will perform a variety of groundskeeping tasks including mowing, weed eating, planting, mulching, and general cleanup duties.

The ideal candidate for the Cemetery Yard Maintenance Technician role is reliable, hardworking, and comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions for extended periods of time. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a small team.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general yard maintenance and groundskeeping
• Mow grass and operate lawn care equipment safely
• Weed eat and edge cemetery plots and walkways
• Plant flowers and assist with seasonal landscaping
• Apply mulch and maintain landscaped areas
• Clean and maintain headstones and cemetery markers
• Keep cemetery grounds neat, orderly, and presentable
• Remove debris, litter, and overgrowth from designated areas
• Operate basic landscaping tools and equipment
• Follow safety procedures while using outdoor power equipment

Qualifications

• Prior landscaping, groundskeeping, or maintenance experience preferred
• Ability to work outdoors in heat and varying weather conditions for extended periods
• Strong work ethic and reliability
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently
• Basic experience with lawn care equipment (mowers, weed eaters, edgers) preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to stand and walk for long periods, covering multiple miles per day
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
• Must be comfortable working outdoors in high heat conditions
• Ability to operate equipment such as weed eaters, edgers, and push mowers for up to 8 hours per day, 5 days per week
