We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Claims Payment Specialist for one of our clients in Little Rock, AR. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of claims payment processes. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. As a Claims Payment Specialist, you will be responsible for validating payment cycles, processing refunds, and supporting overall financial accuracy within the claims system.
The Claims Payment Specialist will work closely with internal teams and information systems staff to resolve discrepancies, ensure proper documentation, and maintain compliance with established procedures. This is a great opportunity for someone with bookkeeping or accounts receivable experience who is looking to grow within a professional office environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Validate multiple claims payment cycles daily to ensure accuracy and timeliness
- Process claims refunds and stop payment requests from start to finish
- Balance and verify payment data, including daily and monthly adjudication controls
- Review claim adjustment transactions and evaluate their impact on payments
- Identify discrepancies and assist in resolving issues with appropriate internal teams
- Communicate payment-related updates and issues with various operational departments
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with company procedures
- Support continuous improvement efforts within payment processing workflows
Qualifications
- Minimum of one (1) year of recent bookkeeping or accounts receivable experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.)
- Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a deadline-driven environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise professional judgment
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
Preferred Experience:
- Previous experience in claims processing or claims adjustment
Education Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
