Job Details
We are seeking an experienced CNC/CO2 Laser Operator to join a fast-paced fabrication and machining shop. The CNC/CO2 Laser Operator will operate and monitor equipment, maintain high-quality production standards, read technical drawings, and help meet customer turnaround requirements.
The ideal candidate is self-motivated, dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work independently while also being a strong team player.

Key Responsibilities
- Operate CNC and CO2 laser equipment in a fast-paced shop environment.
- Maintain quality standards while meeting a 48-hour customer turnaround.
- Read and understand blueprints, drawings, and production specifications.
- Identify and resolve issues related to fabrication and machining.
- Monitor finished products for quality and accuracy.
- Make adjustments or changes as needed to maintain production requirements.
- Multi-task and quickly shift priorities when needed.
- Communicate effectively with team members and ask for assistance when necessary.
- Assist coworkers and contribute to a productive team environment.
- Follow all safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of machine shop experience required.
- Technical trade certificate may substitute for a portion of the required on-the-job experience.
- CNC or laser operating experience preferred.
- Program editing experience is a plus.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and production specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Self-motivated with good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and move throughout the workplace.
- Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, and perform other physical tasks as needed.
- Ability to regularly lift or move materials, including items weighing 50+ pounds.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable access to a vehicle required.
- Willingness to follow safety procedures and work safely around shop hazards.
- Ability to work in a non-temperature-controlled environment.
