CNC Operator / Programmer

Key Responsibilities

• Operate CNC Mill/Lathe equipment to manufacture parts as directed.
• Program laser/plasma machines using engineering plans and machining parameters.
• Interpret work orders, blueprints, and GD&T specifications.
• Set machine zero and reference points and verify initial part accuracy.
• Use company-supplied gauges properly and report any out-of-tolerance dimensions.
• Ensure quality management system processes affecting this role are implemented and maintained.
• Promote awareness of customer requirements throughout the department.
• Perform and document continuous process improvement efforts.
• Maintain continuity between shifts by documenting issues and communicating status.
• Follow clean-up, housekeeping, safety, and quality procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years CNC machining experience preferred.
• 1 year of programming experience for laser/plasma cutting required.
• Ability to read technical drawings and engineering reports.
• Knowledge of gauge usage, setup, and calibration procedures.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and 3D design or programming software.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
• Basic understanding of geometry, trigonometry, and GD&T.
• Must be able to lift 40 lbs. repeatedly, stand for long periods on concrete, and perform tasks including bending, squatting, tightening bolts, and pushing materials.
