Cook Support Technician

Job Details

Key Responsibilities

• Perform all standard production technician tasks necessary to support the cooking and preparation of rice and other food products.
• Assist with handling production process upsets, which may involve shoveling rice or making adjustments to equipment.
• Enter and work in a blast freezer as required, following all safety procedures.
• Operate and monitor basic machine functions to maintain product quality and production efficiency.
• Comply with all food safety guidelines, legal requirements, quality standards, and process control policies.
• Accurately complete and maintain company forms and records, reporting any defective materials or issues to supervisors.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area and equipment.
• Support team members and assist in other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least one (1) year of successful work experience in an industrial facility; food or chemical industry experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret customer orders and production documents.
• Basic computer knowledge and ability to follow documented processes.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

• Stand for extended periods of time and perform bending, stooping, and kneeling when needed.
• Climb ladders and access various levels of the facility.
• Routinely lift up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Tolerate heat, cold, dust, and noisy environments while wearing required PPE.
• Work extended shifts and weekends as scheduled.
