Job Details
As a Customer Service Representative in Hot Springs, AR, you will play a crucial role in assisting with customer requests generated from high-volume telephone inquiries and written correspondence. You will be responsible for processing address changes, printing duplicate policies, and assisting with tasks related to the Central File Room. This position offers a pay rate of $15 per hour.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle Customer Inquiries: Assist with handling all benefit and customer service telephone and written inquiries, conveying and processing information related to policy benefits and changes.
- Process Benefit Payments: Assist with processing benefit payments efficiently and accurately.
- Address Change Requests: Process address change requests for file maintenance, including researching mail returned from the U.S. Post Office and handling telephone inquiries.
- Print Duplicate Policies: Print duplicate policies as requested, ensuring accuracy before mailing them out.
- Central File Room Assistance: Assist with tasks related to the Central File Room, including filing, retrieving policy files, and filing death claims and other documents.
- Scanning and Record Keeping: Scan policy files and records, maintain inventory control, and ensure accuracy and quality of scanned documents.
- Special Projects: Handle special projects such as funeral home audits, database verification, and annual compliance mailings.
- Backup Support: Serve as a backup for co-workers when needed to ensure seamless operations.
- Data Entry and Proofreading: Input, proofread, and edit all typed material and data for accuracy and quality.
- Other Duties: Perform other projects and duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Understanding of insurance policy provisions and related benefits, with the ability to calculate benefit amounts.
- Ability to manage multiple incoming telephone lines and provide excellent customer service.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a good command of the English language.
- Good interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
- Detail-oriented and accuracy-focused, with the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects up to twenty-five (25) pounds and work flexible hours as needed.
