Our client is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Driver to join their distribution team in Little Rock, AR. As a staffing agency, we are recruiting qualified candidates for this opportunity with a company that specializes in the transportation and delivery of products to customers and retailers throughout the region.
The Driver is responsible for safely operating a company vehicle, completing scheduled deliveries, and ensuring products arrive on time and in excellent condition. This position requires excellent time management, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to customer service. The ideal candidate enjoys working independently, takes pride in safe driving practices, and is comfortable performing physical work, including loading and unloading deliveries.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a company vehicle to transport and deliver products to customers and retail locations.
- Follow assigned delivery routes while ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
- Load and unload merchandise, verifying that all products are properly secured for transport.
- Inspect deliveries for accuracy and confirm that orders are complete before leaving each location.
- Obtain customer signatures and maintain accurate delivery records and documentation.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance or safety concerns.
- Communicate with dispatch regarding delivery schedules, route updates, delays, or customer concerns.
- Provide professional and courteous customer service during each delivery.
- Follow all traffic laws, DOT regulations (if applicable), and company safety policies.
- Assist with warehouse or distribution duties when deliveries are complete.
- Maintain a clean and organized company vehicle.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support daily operations.
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience operating a delivery van, box truck, or similar commercial vehicle preferred.
- Ability to safely navigate local delivery routes.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently while remaining a reliable member of the team.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Ability to load and unload deliveries throughout the workday.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and climb in and out of the delivery vehicle frequently.
- Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to safely perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the shift.
