Job Details

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electronic Technician to join our client’s team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently and accurately operating test equipment, troubleshooting both equipment and failed boards, and ensuring quality test results. You will also be required to learn and follow complicated test procedures, potentially involving the use of specialized equipment like oscilloscopes, function generators, frequency counters, and more.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand and follow complex test/repair procedures
  • Configure test setups based on test procedures
  • Perform mathematical calculations (Ohm’s Law calculations, tolerance analysis)
  • Demonstrate basic troubleshooting skills for PCB assembly and external items of functional testers
  • Test, diagnose, and repair electronic assemblies
  • Document findings and report repetitive/recurring failures
  • Familiarize yourself with and become certified on test equipment for all returned electronic assemblies
  • Possess excellent attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple priorities
  • Be trained in and use proper ESD handling techniques
  • Apply training knowledge to think independently
  • Follow routers and ISO instructions meticulously
  • Stand for extended periods, move about rapidly, and handle a flexible workload
  • Lift and carry as required
  • Ensure the proper quality of work
  • Perform other duties as directed by management/supervision
  • Maintain courtesy and respect towards all employees
  • Display a positive attitude and adapt quickly to change

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience as an electronic technician or related role
  • Skills:
    • Strong understanding of electronics principles and circuits
    • Ability to read and interpret schematics and test procedures
    • Proficiency in basic troubleshooting techniques
    • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Adaptability and willingness to learn new things

Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to stand for extended periods, move about rapidly, and handle a flexible workload
    • Ability to lift and carry as required
