Job Details
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Estimator to join our client’s team in Springdale, AR. This is a temporary position requiring a 12-month commitment, with the potential for permanent hire based on performance and business needs. The Estimator will play a key role in reviewing customer requests, preparing accurate quotes, and supporting sales and customer service efforts throughout the order pursuit process.
The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience within a manufacturing and construction-related environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare material proposals and material take-offs using customer-supplied lists, elevations, architectural plans, and specifications.
- Review customer requests and accurately enter pricing information into company systems.
- Communicate with customers and sales representatives regarding quotes, order changes, product inquiries, and customer concerns.
- Follow up on quotations and assist in developing successful order pursuit strategies.
- Coordinate with internal departments and team members on complex projects.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of product offerings and pricing structures.
- Respond to customer inquiries promptly and provide outstanding customer service.
- Ensure quotes are completed accurately and returned within required timelines.
- Maintain a safe work environment and follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and perform well under tight deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Construction industry experience or knowledge of architectural systems and products.
- Two or more years of experience within the construction industry.
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in construction management or a related field.
- Experience with Kalu CAD and JD Edwards software.
