Job Details
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Extrusion Cutter for our client in Hot Springs, AR. This 2nd shift position offers competitive pay at $12/hour and provides an opportunity to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented warehouse environment.
The Extrusion Cutter is responsible for preparing barrels of water and silicone for tubing storage and feeding the tubing into the cutter for accurate processing. This role involves maintaining high standards of quality and precision while collaborating with team members to ensure efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Stage barrels of silicone and water for tubing feeding at the pullout conveyor.
- Remove and replace tubing as needed to ensure smooth operations.
- Perform visual checks of tubing for defects and proper flat length.
- Operate the step-and-repeat program to feed printed tubing into the cutter with precision.
- Communicate with the extrusion feeder to make necessary adjustments.
- Inspect cut bands for defects and ensure they meet specifications.
- Verify tube color, ink color, and cut size using the router.
- Handle full racks by removing, weighing, and replacing them with empty racks as necessary.
- Collaborate with auto pack workers, the assistant supervisor, and the supervisor during cutting tasks.
- Maintain good attendance and adhere to all safety and conduct policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Assist with training new associates or fulfill temporary assignments in other positions or departments.
- Follow company housekeeping procedures effectively.
Qualifications
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Ability to work well in a team environment with diverse individuals.
- Physically capable of pushing and pulling 35-gallon barrels of water with or without tubing.
- Able to lift up to 60 lbs and stand for long periods, as well as squat and bend when needed.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Adherence to safety policies, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
