Our staffing agency is seeking an experienced Facility Maintenance Technician for one of our clients in Hot Springs, Arkansas. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled maintenance professional with manufacturing experience and a strong background in facility systems, mechanical equipment, and boiler operations. The ideal candidate will be dependable, safety-focused, mechanically inclined, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced production environment.
The Facility Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining and supporting critical facility systems, with a primary focus on boiler operations. When boiler-related work is not required, this position will provide general maintenance support for HVAC systems, water processing, wastewater treatment, building systems, production equipment, and other facility infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform hourly and daily boiler checks, routine inspections, preventative maintenance, corrective repairs, and equipment testing.
  • Maintain and support facility systems, including boilers, HVAC equipment, water processing systems, wastewater treatment systems, cooling towers, compressors, and production equipment.
  • Identify recurring equipment issues and assist with root-cause analysis to improve equipment reliability and reduce production downtime.
  • Repair, rebuild, clean, test, and replace electrical and mechanical components as needed.
  • Support equipment installations, upgrades, retrofits, and other facility improvement projects.
  • Coordinate with contractors and vendors to support maintenance, installation, and repair activities.
  • Maintain accurate preventative maintenance logs, repair records, inspection documentation, and testing records.
  • Recommend equipment and systems for inclusion in preventative maintenance programs and assist with improving existing PM procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, vendors, and contractors to promote safe and efficient facility operations.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a professional, team-oriented approach to facility maintenance.

Qualifications

  • Arkansas Boiler Operator License required.
  • Previous maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment required.
  • Experience with HVAC, boilers, chillers, cooling towers, compressors, water treatment, and compressed air systems preferred.
  • Working knowledge of electrical systems and electrical components.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to read mechanical drawings and OEM technical prints for parts identification.
  • Knowledge of preventative maintenance programs; SAP experience preferred.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and the ability to read and interpret computer-generated reports.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while completing tasks accurately and efficiently.
  • Ability to perform physical inspections requiring climbing, reaching, extending, and other physical activities.
  • Flexibility to respond to call-ins or provide shift coverage as needed to support production operations.
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety, professionalism, teamwork, and adaptability.
