As a Foam Packaging Technician based in Greenwood, AR, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and secure packaging of products for shipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Foam Production: You will be actively involved in the production of foam that is used to cushion and protect products during transit. This includes creating foam of varying sizes and shapes to fit specific packaging requirements.
  • Cutting Operations: Utilizing a range of saws and cutting tools, you will be responsible for cutting foam into different shapes and dimensions according to specified requirements. Precision and attention to detail are key in this aspect of the role.
  • Gluing Processes: You will be tasked with gluing together corrugated parts and foam components. These assembled parts are crucial in creating protective layers within shipping boxes, ensuring that items remain stable and secure during transportation.
  • Machine Operations: In addition to manual tasks, you may also operate a laminating machine. This involves feeding materials into the machine and off-bearing finished products, contributing to the efficient production of packaging materials.
  • Physical Requirements: This role requires physical stamina as you will be on your feet for extended periods, stooping as needed, and lifting up to 50 lbs. throughout your shift. Maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to proper lifting techniques are paramount.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in foam production, packaging, or related fields is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Ability to operate various saws and cutting tools safely and effectively.
  • Familiarity with gluing processes and techniques.
  • Experience with machine operations, particularly in a manufacturing or production setting, is a plus.
  • Physical fitness and the ability to meet the lifting and movement requirements of the role.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Reliable and punctual with a commitment to workplace safety.
