Job Details
Our client is seeking a skilled and reliable Forklift Operator to join their team in Springdale, AR. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, this position involves operating both a forklift and palletizer efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The Forklift Operator will be responsible for managing inventory, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring smooth operation of the production line. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, the ability to multitask, and the commitment to uphold food safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a forklift to stack, retrieve, and organize goods, materials, and supplies in the warehouse.
- Ensure inventory accuracy by documenting and maintaining records of goods and materials moved within the facility.
- Set up and operate automatic palletizers, stretch wrap machines, and related equipment on the assigned production line.
- Read and interpret blueprints and diagrams to ensure proper machine setup and positioning of materials.
- Adjust machine settings to meet production specifications and ensure timely task completion.
- Monitor the palletizer for proper pattern formation, and address any jams or fallen cartons.
- Perform code changes on machinery and ensure correct labeling through the tagger computer.
- Coordinate with the line driver to ensure correct pallets are available to the pallet dispenser.
- Operate palletizing equipment proficiently, ensuring smooth production flow.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including the operation of safety switches, interlocks, and devices.
- Understand and use HMI (touch screen) controls for proper machine operation.
- Assist in ensuring the cleanliness and organization of the production area.
- Support the company’s food safety, food quality, and regulatory requirements by adhering to SQF standards.
- Work with management to resolve food safety and quality issues as needed.
Qualifications
Minimum Required Qualifications:
- Six months of experience operating production equipment in a manufacturing environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines.
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the food or beverage industry.
