We are seeking a Forklift Operator for our client, a regional leader in cold storage and refrigeration services located in the North Little Rock area. This company specializes in warehousing and distributing perishable goods for the food, pharmaceutical, and other temperature-sensitive industries. They are known for their exceptional service, innovative solutions, and dedication to safety and quality.
As a Forklift Operator, you will be a key part of the warehouse and distribution team, responsible for the safe and efficient handling of temperature-controlled products. Working under the supervision of the Warehouse Manager, the Forklift Operator will ensure that materials are accurately received, stored, and shipped while maintaining compliance with all safety and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts and other powered industrial equipment to move, load, and unload materials.
- Conduct pre-shift inspections and report maintenance issues to ensure equipment remains in excellent working condition.
- Accurately pick, stage, and prepare products for outgoing shipments following company procedures.
- Maintain organized and accurate inventory records and assist in cycle counts when needed.
- Follow all safety protocols, including the proper handling of perishable goods and adherence to cold storage procedures.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow and timely order fulfillment.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1–2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution setting.
- Valid forklift certification required.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to read and interpret shipping and inventory documents.
- Excellent attendance and reliability; ability to thrive in a fast-paced, cold storage environment.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in refrigerated conditions.
