Job Details
We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Forklift Operator for one of our client partners in Conway, AR. The Forklift Operator will be responsible for moving raw materials, finished goods, and supplies throughout the facility while ensuring products are handled safely and efficiently. This position plays a critical role in supporting warehouse and production operations by transporting materials to designated areas, staging outbound shipments, and maintaining organized inventory flow.
The ideal Forklift Operator candidate will have previous sit-down electric forklift experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The Forklift Operator must be committed to workplace safety, accuracy, and teamwork while completing daily material handling assignments.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a forklift and manually move materials, supplies, and finished products throughout the facility
- Transport raw materials and finished goods to warehouses, trailers, storage areas, and production lines
- Stage products for outbound shipments according to load requirements
- Pick up and place products in designated bay locations accurately
- Move product safely while operating the forklift in reverse and maintaining awareness of surroundings
- Report damaged products, inconsistencies, or operational issues to supervisors immediately
- Unload and dump scrap materials into compactors and balers safely
- Sample raw materials for quality testing as needed
- Inspect trailers before loading, including checking floors and trailer walls for safety concerns
- Properly secure chocks and jack stands under trailers before loading or unloading
- Change forklift batteries and report any mechanical or electrical issues
- Operate handheld radios for communication throughout the shift
- Complete paperwork and documentation accurately and in a timely manner
- Review and inspect hoists and other equipment prior to use
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Perform additional warehouse and material handling duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of forklift experience preferred, specifically sit-down electric forklift operation
- Previous warehouse or manufacturing experience preferred
- Ability to safely operate forklifts and material handling equipment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety
- Ability to lift, move, and transport materials throughout the shift
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced industrial environment
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work the scheduled shift consistently and reliably
