Groundskeeper

Job Details

Our client is seeking a dependable Groundskeeper to help maintain the appearance and cleanliness of a large community campus in Springdale. The Groundskeeper will be responsible for mowing, trimming, edging, landscaping support, and general grounds maintenance while working as part of a small facilities team.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate commercial mowing equipment, including stand-on and zero-turn mowers.
• Perform string trimming, edging, and general lawn maintenance.
• Use blowers to clear sidewalks, parking lots, and entrances after mowing.
• Pick up litter and maintain a clean, professional campus appearance.
• Assist with flowerbed maintenance, weeding, planting, and seasonal mulching.
• Perform equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns.
• Keep equipment clean, fueled, and properly stored.
• Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
• Assist with interior facility projects during winter months and inclement weather, including painting and general maintenance.

Qualifications

• Experience operating commercial lawn care equipment preferred.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Landscaping, turf care, or grounds maintenance experience is a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work on uneven terrain throughout the day.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in heat, humidity, cold temperatures, and occasional rain.
• Comfortable operating power equipment for extended periods.

Schedule

• Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week
• Occasional schedule adjustments may be required due to weather or campus events
