HTST Machine Operator

Job Details

• Operate pasteurizers, batch products, and batch mixes according to standard procedures.
• Operate milk and mix press equipment, perform cream loadouts, and clean tanks and equipment in both mixing and pasteurization rooms.
• Complete necessary paperwork, document charts, stock ingredients, and clean associated areas.
• Work in various areas of the production facility as needed and assigned.
• Temporarily adjust working days and hours based on business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct all required quality checks and document findings accurately.
• Collect samples for Quality Assurance testing and maintain sample records.
• Monitor weights, seals, caps, and general packaging of products to ensure quality standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve basic to moderate operating difficulties.
• Perform equipment changeovers safely and efficiently.
• Follow sanitation and quality procedures, report any deficiencies, and ensure food safety standards are met.
• Assist in identifying opportunities to improve processes and efficiency.
• Adhere to regulatory, customer, and SQF requirements related to food safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Experience analyzing and troubleshooting process and equipment data to improve quality and throughput.
• Basic math skills required for calculations and measurements.
• Willingness to work overtime, holidays, and adapt to changing schedules.
• Previous experience in the food and beverage industry is preferred.

• Must be able to stand, walk, kneel, and bend for extended periods.
• Lift and move up to 50 pounds frequently, and occasionally more than 75 pounds.
• Work in a wet environment and be exposed to fumes, chemicals, and allergens.
