Our client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented IAM Operations Analyst to support the administration, governance, and day-to-day operations of the organization’s enterprise identity and access management (IAM) environment. The IAM Operations Analyst will be responsible for helping ensure users have appropriate access to systems and applications throughout the employee lifecycle while maintaining compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and the principle of least privilege.
The IAM Operations Analyst will work closely with Human Resources, Information Security, Infrastructure, Application Support, and business teams to manage user access, troubleshoot identity-related issues, support access reviews, and maintain effective identity governance processes. This position will support technologies including Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, SailPoint, Okta, and related authentication and identity governance solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and support enterprise identity and access management platforms and processes.
- Manage user provisioning, deprovisioning, and access modifications.
- Support Joiner, Mover, and Leaver (JML) processes throughout the employee lifecycle.
- Administer user roles, permissions, groups, and access based on established policies.
- Ensure access is granted according to business requirements and the principle of least privilege.
- Troubleshoot authentication, authorization, Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and identity synchronization issues.
- Support Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Active Directory, Okta, SailPoint, and related identity management technologies.
- Assist with role-based access control (RBAC) administration and governance.
- Conduct and support user access reviews and certification campaigns.
- Assist with security audits, compliance requests, and access-related investigations.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to identity and access activities.
- Work with ticketing and workflow management systems to track and resolve access requests and issues.
- Collaborate with Human Resources, Information Security, IT, application teams, and business stakeholders to resolve identity-related issues.
- Assist with information security risk assessments and related compliance activities.
- Support external vendors and partners when IAM-related coordination is required.
- Participate in IAM projects, process improvements, and technology implementations.
- Help ensure IAM processes align with applicable security frameworks, organizational policies, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Identity and Access Management (IAM), Information Security, or Information Technology Operations.
- Hands-on experience administering Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Active Directory, Okta, or equivalent identity management platforms.
- Experience with user provisioning, deprovisioning, and access modifications.
- Experience supporting Joiner, Mover, and Leaver (JML) lifecycle processes.
- Experience troubleshooting authentication, authorization, SSO, MFA, and identity synchronization issues.
- Experience with role-based access control and least-privilege access models.
- Experience working with ticketing and workflow management systems.
- Experience supporting user access reviews, certification campaigns, and audit requests.
- Strong understanding of identity governance and access management concepts.
- At least 3 years of experience conducting system audits, information security risk assessments, working with external vendors, or supporting information security, business continuity, or disaster recovery activities.
- Knowledge of at least one common information security framework, such as HIPAA, HITRUST, ISO/IEC 27001, ITIL, NIST, or COBIT.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field preferred.
- Candidates without a bachelor’s degree may qualify with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
