Laser Operator

Job Details

Our client is seeking a skilled and dependable Laser Operator to join their production team in Siloam Springs, AR. This position involves operating CNC laser equipment to cut and process stainless steel sheet metal components with precision and accuracy. The Laser Operator will play a key role in ensuring parts are produced correctly, efficiently, and in accordance with specifications.

The ideal candidate for the Laser Operator role is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and comfortable working in a manufacturing environment. Experience with CNC equipment is preferred, but candidates with strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to learn quickly will also be considered. This is a hands-on position requiring both independent work and collaboration with team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate CNC laser equipment to cut and process metal parts
• Handle, sort, and organize stainless steel sheet metal materials
• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, and specifications
• Determine tolerances, sequences of operations, and setup requirements for production jobs
• Measure, mark, and scribe materials using a tape measure and other tools
• Perform basic maintenance on CNC laser equipment
• Inspect finished parts to ensure accuracy and quality standards are met
• Operate and work around shop equipment including grinders, forklifts, and other machinery
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Follow all shop safety rules and procedures

Qualifications

• CNC laser or machine operation experience preferred (training available for qualified candidates)
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Basic math and measurement skills, including accurate use of a tape measure
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
• Commitment to safety procedures and shop standards

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently
• Ability to stand for extended periods while working
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing/shop environment
