Job Details
Our client is seeking an experienced and dependable Machine Operator to join their manufacturing team in Springdale, AR. The Machine Operator will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating machinery in various departments throughout the manufacturing facility, including Extrusion, Paint, Anodize, Fabrication, Pack, and other production areas.
The ideal Machine Operator will have at least one year of manufacturing experience, basic computer skills, and the ability to learn and operate advanced machinery and computer systems. This position requires someone who is dependable, safety-conscious, flexible, and comfortable performing physically demanding work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate machinery in various manufacturing departments, including Extrusion, Paint, Anodize, Fabrication, Pack, and other production areas.
- Follow all Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) processes and human performance tools to perform work safely.
- Learn and utilize advanced computer systems and controls to operate manufacturing equipment.
- Monitor equipment and production processes to ensure operations are running properly.
- Follow production, quality, and safety procedures.
- Work effectively with team members to meet production goals.
- Assist with troubleshooting and problem-solving when production issues arise.
- Participate in housekeeping efforts to maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Attend daily meetings addressing quality, cost, production, and other operational priorities.
- Be flexible and willing to work in different departments based on production needs.
- Perform physically demanding tasks and work in extreme weather conditions when required.
- Work overtime when deemed necessary by management.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Basic computer skills with the ability and willingness to learn advanced computer systems.
- Previous machine operation experience or general knowledge of machine operations preferred.
- Ability to safely operate manufacturing machinery and equipment.
- Strong attention to safety, quality, and detail.
- Dependable and reliable with good attendance.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn.
- Flexibility to work in different departments and shifts based on production needs.
- Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment physical.
- Willingness to work overtime when required.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to regularly lift 40+ pounds.
- Ability to bend, stoop, squat, and perform other repetitive physical movements.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks throughout the workday.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
