Job Details

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician for our client’s manufacturing facility in Springdale, AR. The Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in keeping production equipment, tooling, and plant facilities in top working order. This position is essential to maintaining smooth operations and ensuring product quality, safety, and compliance with environmental and quality management systems.

The Maintenance Technician has the authority to stop processes when needed to investigate issues, prevent nonconformance, and protect product integrity. This role requires hands-on expertise in troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance across a wide range of equipment and systems, including electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic machinery. The Maintenance Technician will also support cost-saving initiatives and represent customer needs in matters related to equipment performance and compliance with industry standards, such as IATF 16949.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on production equipment and plant facilities.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Support production by quickly addressing equipment downtime and ensuring minimal interruptions.
  • Maintain facility systems and complete assigned building maintenance tasks.
  • Operate mills, lathes, welders, drill presses, bandsaws, grinders, and forklifts as needed.
  • Comply with customer-specific requirements and document maintenance activities accurately.
  • Assist in identifying and implementing cost-saving measures.
  • Work closely with supervisors, operators, engineers, and outside contractors to resolve maintenance issues.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ maintenance experience or 5 years in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, Access, and systems such as AS400 or CMS.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Team-oriented with the ability to handle high-pressure situations.
  • Must be able to walk, sit, stand, and lift up to 40 lbs. frequently and over 40 lbs. occasionally.
  • Comfortable working in a variety of environments, including temperatures ranging from -20 to 120 degrees Fahrenheit.
