Maintenance Technician

Job Details

Our client is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join their team on a temp-to-hire basis. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth operation of facilities and production equipment by performing troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance. The Maintenance Technician will work either the 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM shift or the 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM shift, depending on company needs. Candidates should be dependable, safety-minded, and skilled in diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues in a fast-paced industrial setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on machinery, equipment, and facilities to minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Diagnose issues quickly and implement effective solutions to maintain production flow.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage.
• Support installation and testing of new equipment as required.
• Ensure compliance with all safety standards and company policies.
• Work independently and as part of a team to prioritize and complete tasks efficiently.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and production staff regarding equipment status.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training or certification preferred.
• 3+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Familiarity with PLCs and automated systems a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Must be able to work assigned shifts and be available for overtime if needed.
